Could you live on $1188 a month? What if you were living with a severe disability?
This campaign aims to bring the 'Alberta Income for the Severely Handicapped' (commonly known as AISH) up to Stats Canada's 'Low Income Cut-Off' (LICO). Currently the basic living amount on AISH is $ 1188 per month. AISH would need to increase $ 347 a month to bring Albertans living on AISH up to the poverty line.
